On the afternoon of October 25th, CareFinders had a Halloween Spooktacular community event for its caregivers and their families. It was hosted at the CareFinders Perth Amboy R&R Center.

Over 25 children participated in this holiday party. Healthy, ghoulish snacks were provided for all.  Our HMO partner, Wellcare NJ shared smart tips for taking care of teeth during Halloween. They gave a wonderful workshop – with a magical puppet name Ally – on how to keep your mouth sparkling clean. They also handed out free toothbrushes, toothpaste & floss to all the children and family members who attended.

Laura Gimenez, a Registered dietitian for Hackensack Meridian Health & the local Shoprite spoke about the importance of eating healthy during the holidays. She even had a hands-on Do-It-Yourself healthy spider cracker snacks.

This Spooktacular event re-enforced CareFinders’ commitment to Total Care. We believe in taking care of our aides, their families, their teeth and even their diets! Especially at Halloween!  Or, as one participant said, “We put the care in SCARE.”
